The Land and Its People
Two thousand five hundred years of Telangana's civilisation. The Kakatiyas, the Qutb Shahis, the Nizams, the culture, the festivals and the identity of a people.

The Conditional Merger
The merger of 1956 was not willing. It was conditional. The conditions were broken from the first day.

The Broken Promises
Revenue diverted. Water denied. Employment taken. Education underfunded. Every promise made in 1956, broken across every decade that followed.

TRS founded. JAC formed. The streets filled. The hunger strike. Parliament voted. 2 June 2014.

Chapter Six
The Land Transformed
Mission Bhagiratha brought drinking water to 57 lakh households. Mission Kakatiya restored 21,633 tanks. Kaleshwaram lifted the Godavari to thirteen districts. Rythu Bandhu placed Rs.65,190 crore directly in the hands of 65 lakh farmers. Telangana's land, long denied water and investment, was transformed.

Chapter Seven
The People's Government
44,82,254 people receive Aasara Pensions every month. Dalit Bandhu gave Rs.10 lakh free to every eligible Dalit family. KCR Kit supported 13.90 lakh mothers. Residential schools grew from 289 to 930. The 2BHK programme built more homes in nine years than the previous thirty-one. A welfare state built from the ground up.

Chapter Eight
The New Telangana
Power capacity more than doubled. IT exports tripled. T-Hub became the world's largest startup incubator. Hyderabad surpassed Bengaluru in IT real estate. 2,24,142 government jobs with 95% local reservation. Ramappa Temple declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Telangana Implements, India Emulates.

1083
The Kakatiya Dynasty
The Telugu kingdom rises at Warangal, building the Ramappa Temple and an irrigation civilisation that shapes Telangana's identity for a thousand years.
1724
The Nizam Dynasty
Asaf Jah I establishes the Nizam of Hyderabad, one of history's most powerful and prosperous princely states across the Deccan.
1948
Operation Polo, Integration
The Indian Army ends Nizam rule. Hyderabad State is integrated into independent India, beginning a new chapter with new tensions.
1956
The Conditional Merger
Telangana is merged into Andhra Pradesh under a Gentlemen's Agreement that is broken almost from the first day.
1969
Jai Telangana, The First Rising
Students and workers take to the streets. The movement shakes Andhra Pradesh but is suppressed. The struggle goes underground, never extinguished.
2001
TRS is Founded
K. Chandrashekar Rao launches the Telangana Rashtra Samithi with one single, non-negotiable demand: a separate state.
2009
The Hunger Strike
KCR goes on an indefinite hunger strike. The nation watches. The UPA government announces it will form Telangana. The announcement is later walked back. The movement intensifies.
2014
June 2, Statehood
India's 29th state is born. After centuries of identity, decades of struggle, and years of relentless political will, Telangana takes its rightful place on the map.
